Jeannette Slager is
one of PM's daughtersSlager. Her work is characterized by the use of strong colors and a striking effect of light and shadow. Jeanette was taught by her father and brothers and specialized successfully in colorful flower still lifes. She was especially renowned for her technique, composition and use of color. Queen Emma bought a work from her twice. A much-mentioned and well-known work from that time is 'Red Geraniums'.

pm_001-1More than once, Jeannette was depicted by her brother Piet. As a young girl she received lessons from her father and brothers, together with her sister Corry. She lived and worked in 's-Hertogenbosch, The Hague and finally in Vught. Here she settled for good and here she passed away in 1945.
